Members of the GCFW Wewahitchka Woman's Club delivered gift baskets to law enforcement, in August 2016
while also decorating the city of Wewahitchka with blue ribbons.
Wewahitchka Woman's Club wrapped trees and flag poles with blue ribbons to show support for the law enforcement.
Having heard plenty of the white noise echoing across the country, the GCFW Wewahitchka Woman's Club decided to apply a touch of blue to the town.
A ribbon of blue was applied to flags across the community, including a particularly large one for the dominating tree at Lake Alice Park, to demonstrate support for the men and women serving the county in law enforcement.
As something of a dessert to that decoration, club members traveled to Port St. Joe to bestow on the Gulf County Sheriff's Office and Port St. Joe Police Department a token of their support.
In the form of personalized cards and baskets overflowing with snacks, both healthy and maybe not so much, to fuel officers through their shifts.
There were also some fresh homemade cookies tossed in for good measure.
"We just wanted to do something to show our support" said club president Tunnie Miller. " With all the things going on today."
